Ok, you have your new blog setup. Your posting great content, now what? You need traffic, or people visiting your website. The content you post can be the greatest in the world, but if no one is visiting your blog to read it, then its not creating value for anyone.
Once you get all this new traffic it’s important to convert the traffic to leads and then sales. No sense in creating great content, building traffic, if you’re not making money from it. Get the details on how to get traffic here, and then learn how to convert that traffic into sales.
Organic Search Engines
There are 3 main search engines that control 90% of the internet traffic. Google, bing, and yahoo are the 3 websites that will direct most of the traffic to your blog. Organic traffic will be the best, because people are actively searching for what you have to offer. If someone types in mlm training, the search engines will show the best results for that keyword.
Your goal is to build blog pages that speak directly to the traffic that is searching. And you do that by building a blog post around that particular keyword. The example we used was mlm training. Create a blog post with that keyword in the title, and the body of the article. If you do this right, you will see a massive amount of traffic to your blog.
Video Marketing
Many people are just flat out lazy and don’t want to read your blog. And that is ok, because you can make a video around the blog post you create. Youtube is the king of traffic for video marketing, and when you create a video for your blog post you add that much more traffic.
When you create a video tell people to click the link below the video for more information. Then in the description, place your link to your blog. As your video grows in popularity, the more traffic you will see coming to your website.
Social Media
Facebook, twitter, linked in, these are the 4 biggest social media websites on the world wide web. Facebook will be the biggest of the 3 and should be the place you spend most of your marketing efforts. But ya gotta do this right. I see too many people pitching their company and products. When you do this it turns people off very fast. Think of the social media as a party you go to.
Your first going to need to establish a relationship with people you meet at the party. Once you establish this relationship, then you can talk about your products or service. If your blog post are about quality information that helps others. Then posting this will get people to want to click on your link and read your blog.
Article Directories
Did you create a great blog post for your website? Why not change it up a bit and post it on article directories. Websites like ezine articles, go articles, are not going to give you massive amounts of traffic. But they do help in your overall SEO. Meaning the backlinks you add to your article directories will give the search engines that much more reason to rank you higher.
I will admit that article directories have lost some of their effectiveness when it comes to SEO, but that does not mean you quit using this traffic source.
Forum Marketing
If you’re active on forums, this can be a great way to build some extra traffic to your blog. Being active means writing posts on other forums, and answering questions. Setup your signature inside your forum account with a link to your blog. That way when you post on the forum your signature will show up with a link back for more traffic. Don’t expect huge results from this, but it will help with your overall branding, and SEO.
